Many of the works in the collection of the National Gallery of Denmark are marked as public domain. They belong to the public – which means that they belong to you, too.

Approximately 25,000 images of artworks, is now available on the website. The quality varies but they are working on replacing the older recordings with new high quality images.

The copyright on all of these artworks has expired because they were made by artists who passed away more than 70 years ago. Therefore they are in the Public Domain. This also means that you are free to use the images for any purpose without asking permission from the SMK or anyone else.
