29.09.2014  12:01

The Danish Ministry for Higher Education and Science ensures Danish participation in the Nordic research programme “Responsible Development of the Arctic” by granting the programme DKK 5 mio.

“The Arctic environment and culture is facing colossal and radical changes these years. I visited Greenland last month where I became acquainted with some of the many big challenges the society in Greenland is facing and that to a great extend needs our full attention. I am therefore pleased with the joint research programmes that the Nordic countries can create, which can provide us with knowledge and tools to handle these challenges” says Minister for Higher Education and Science Sofie Carsten Nielsen.

The programme, which is offered by NordForsk, runs until 2018 and has a total programme budget of NOK 90 mio.
